Donating to the Red Cross allows us to help rebuild the lives of our fellow human beings, aiding them in their struggle to rise above various adversities. After all, the Red Cross is humanitarian in nature, made up of volunteers who abide by the mission-vision of providing much-needed relief worldwide. Aside from this, the nonprofit also offers educational training to help deal with future emergencies.

One key service area of the Red Cross is blood donation; it is the largest supplier of blood in the U.S. and accounts for donated blood to nearly four million people, which is about 40% of the country’s entire blood supply. Its international services are comprised of 13 million volunteers in 187 countries who help in disaster relief, educational training, the building of safer and healthier communities, and supporting veterans, wounded warriors, and families of American soldiers.
